Creating your own Makeup Line – Interview with Kylie Eustace

Many makeup artists dream of starting their own makeup line. For Kylie Eustace, that dream became a reality.

Kylie is a qualified, professional hairdresser, salon owner and makeup artist. She has been a finalist in the Australian Beauty Industry – Makeup Artist of the year Awards and the Australian Hair Fashion Awards multiple times over the last decade.

From early on, Kylie’s own super-sensitive skin led her on a driven quest for non-irritating and safe, skincare and beauty products. The joy of sharing her discoveries with friends and clients encouraged her to spread the knowledge and availability of the better, healthier options she found or eventually created and so Kylie’s Professional, Mineral Goddess makeup was born.

In this interview Kylie chats about her career as a makeup artist and hairdresser, and all about her journey in creating her own line, and why natural and organic, mineral makeup was the choice for her.  We talk about her early struggles with feeling nervous and lacking confidence as a freelancer and how entering competitions helped her gain credibility with her own brand.  We also chat about why she chose to create loose pigment powders instead of pressed eyeshadows.
